TAS: Harness the meaning: supporting a culture of inquiry in mental health: Friday 24 September

The National Mental Health Strategy has seen significant investment in improving the collection and use of clinical information in mental health. This has seen the introduction of a suite of standard measures to clinical practice along with the collection of a range of clinical, service delivery and demographic information. This one day work shop will focus on the use of this information to inform clinical practice and service developments.
Through the use of case examples and demonstration, during this workshop participants will explore:
* The technical aspects of standard measures in clinical practice;
* Use of standard measures for collaborative care planning and the process of clinical review;
* Using the BASIS-32 to support consumer, carer and clinician collaboration;
* The development of recovery orientated, outcome focused services;
* Using aggregate data to evaluate service delivery and support service development;
* Reporting organisational performance and benchmarking; and
* Future developments in clinical information.
The focus of this workshop will be Adult but reference to Child and Adolescent and Older Persons Services will also be included.
